STEM Acceleration Award 2025 Held with Idram’s Support
In collaboration with Idram, the final competition of the Feminno NGO’s STEM Acceleration Award program took place recently, with around 200 school-aged girls from all regions of Armenia participating.
During the three-month summer program—aimed at fostering scientific interest and leadership among girls—students from grades 8 to 12 developed and implemented STEM projects, bringing together science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Throughout the summer, Idram also conducted a financial literacy webinar for the participating students. The girls were introduced to the basics of financial literacy, effective saving methods, and rules for protecting themselves against financial fraud. They also became familiar with the Idram Junior app.
In her opening remarks, Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility Programs at Idram and IDBank, noted that the energy from the financial literacy sessions held during the summer was still vivid: “It was extremely impressive not only how engaged the children were, but also the exceptional degree of their interest. The high percentage of girls participating in the course also shows that the topic is truly relevant and appealing to them,” emphasized Vardevanyan, who also served on the jury evaluating the projects. Notably, several of the 20 competing projects addressed financial literacy as their main theme.
Seda Papoyan, founder of the Feminno NGO, also highlighted the importance of financial literacy in the context of modern education: “There is no idea that can be realized without funding, and I am very glad we had this opportunity for the girls to understand how the financial world works and how new tools—such as the Idram Junior mobile app—create broad opportunities to gain a certain level of financial independence.”
At the end of the full day of competition, the names of the winning teams in various categories were announced, and Idram presented special gifts to the top three projects it selected.
