Idram Becomes a Partner of “Little Mher”

The region’s first AI-generated feature-length animated film, “Little Mher,” has premiered on the big screen. Idram, through its Idram Junior app, is a partner in the creation of the film.

“Little Mher” is based on the Armenian national epic Daredevils of Sassoun (Sasuntsi Davit), reimagined through a modern and innovative lens. At the heart of the story is Little Mher (Pokr Mher), who emerges from the legendary Raven Rock (Agravakar) and finds himself in a contemporary Armenian village. There, he encounters a completely new reality that leaves him surprised, confused, yet unwaveringly faithful to his character and values.

Arsen Kdanyan, Director of Idram, noted: “We always value opportunities to support initiatives that help preserve, reinterpret, and promote Armenian culture. ‘Little Mher’ is not only a remarkable animated film but also the first project of its kind in the region in terms of the technology behind its creation. We are confident that it will be warmly welcomed by children, teenagers, and adults alike. This story will once again remind younger generations of the importance of friendship, staying true to their values, and appreciating Armenian culture and traditions.”

Combining the timeless legacy of Daredevils of Sassoun with cutting-edge artificial intelligence technologies, “Little Mher” offers audiences a fresh perspective on one of Armenia’s most beloved epic heroes while introducing his story to a new generation.

The creative team plans to introduce “Little Mher” to international audiences by translating the film into multiple languages and making it available across global platforms. Although the story is rooted in the Armenian epic Daredevils of Sassoun (Sasuntsi Davit), the screenplay has been developed in a way that makes it engaging and accessible to viewers from different cultural backgrounds.

“At the heart of the story are universal themes such as the search for identity, courage, family, loyalty, and the protection of one’s values—concepts that resonate across cultures. Our goal is for the film’s cultural uniqueness not to be a barrier, but rather an element that sparks curiosity and interest in the story,” said Hovhannes Margaryan, author of the project, director and producer of the film, and founder of the 485 Generative Technologies Center.

The production of “Little Mher” brought together an experienced creative team that combined cutting-edge technologies with traditional filmmaking expertise, artistic vision, and professional craftsmanship.

To ensure authenticity, the team provided AI systems with hundreds of real-life photographs of Armenian villages, settlements, homes, everyday objects, and environments collected during extensive research and location scouting. This enabled the generated visuals to accurately reflect recognizable settings deeply rooted in Armenian reality and culture.

Starting June 1, “Little Mher” will be available in cinemas across Armenia, making it a special gift for children in celebration of International Children’s Day. Tickets can be purchased through the Idram&IDBank app.
