How to Choose a Career Path and What Skills are Considered Crucial: AraratBank on the GoTeach Platform
AraratBank participated in the GoTeach Career Fair hosted by Teach For Armenia, which included a panel discussion on “Preparing for the Future of Work”.
The panelists explored the main trends in the labor market, talked about the type of skills that will be required to match future labor market needs and offered tips to help young people navigate choices that shape their careers.
While commenting on the importance of the professional orientation event, the Head of Communication and CSR Programs Coordination Division at AraratBank Anna Allahverdyan said: "We were pleased to accept the invitation of Teach For Armenia to participate in the panel discussion at the GoTeach Career Fair and offer career guidance to young people to help them make informed decisions about their future. This professional orientation platform sparks interest and passion for high-demand careers that most high school students are not yet familiar with. Today's labor market is dynamic, and we must emphasize the importance of young people not only acquiring professional skills, but also developing a creative mindset and maintaining a constant pursuit of knowledge."
Among the speakers of the panel discussion were also Ishkhan Margaryan, Deputy CEO and HR Director at DataArt Armenia, Inanna Beluyan, Head of Operations at DHL Armenia, and Luiza Avetisyan, Co-founder and CEO at Staff.am.
"Such initiatives are vital for exchanging ideas with high school students and delving deeper into the career prospects. Discussions in this format should be pursued, especially in the regions, where they may ensure a more profound and long-term effect," noted Vardan Partamyan, Managing Director of Advancement at Teach For Armenia.
Prior to the panel discussion, students heard a series TED-style talks delivered by Teach For Armenia alumni, who shared their experiences of how they chose careers and of the pathways they took after completing the program.
The event was an important step towards guiding young minds, unleashing their potential, and raising their awareness of the demands in the labor market. This showed that joint efforts, educational programs, and responsible partnerships can open up genuine opportunities for the development of the new generation.
The Bank reminds that the cooperation between AraratBank and Teach For Armenia Educational Foundation started back in 2022. On October 9, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two institutions. As part of a broader collaboration, five Teacher-Leaders in Mathematics and Computer Science were recruited to the schools of Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik, and Tavush, ensuring the right of children to education.
