Health minister on upcoming snap elections’ impact on Armenia epidemic situation: Hard to make predictions
It will be important to follow the anti-epidemic rules during the snap elections. The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, told reporters this on Thursday.
According to her, it is hard to predict how the snap parliamentary elections—slated for June 20—will affect the epidemic situation in Armenia, and it all depends on the conduct of the people. As per Avanesyan, if everyone follows the anti-epidemic rules, the high-risk groups be already vaccinated, and everything is organized properly, there may be no negative impact on the epidemic situation in the country.
According to the minister, at the moment the epidemic situation in Armenia is stabilizing, this week's respective figures are virtually the same as last week, and 2,500 beds have been provided for patients with the coronavirus.
